Changed the font color because you asked for it

Thanks for the feedback you are sending folks!  Seeing as I have had several people let me know thet the text was too hard to read I have changed the color to be easier on the eyes.

How you can change your style sheet’s color (if you are using Elegant Themes Studio Blue)

As this site is all about how to do WordPress, I thought that I would share with you how I made the change.  Your theme has some CSS files that control the appearance of everything on the site.   A CSS file is a Cascading Style Sheet, or style sheet for short.  You can find them by navigating on your WordPress dashboard to Appearance –> Editor.

Look at the list of files on the right side of the page.  Towards the bottom of the list are the style sheets.  My theme has different color options (I could make the site purple at the click of a button if I so chose), so I have about a half dozen CSS files listed, but I only need to alter the one that I am using (if I switch from green to purple at some point in the future I will lose the change of text color that I made since I am only going to edit the one CSS).

Select the CSS that your theme is currently using and look to the editing box.  Add the following line of code to the bottom of the sheet:  #left-inside {font-size:12px;color:#000000;}  The #000000 is the part of the code where you can set the color to whatever you would like.  This site can help you see what altering the numbers can lead to.  Lower numbers are darker colors, so #000000 is black.

 

How the color code works

The color code is actually split into three blocks of two digits a piece.  So is is correct to think of the code as 00 00 00.  The first block describes the amount of red, the second the amount of green, and the third the amount of blue.  So if you wanted pure blue you would enter #0000FF.

Wait a second, you say.  Why FF?  The code is in a counting system called hexadecimal, or base 16.  In addition to all the digits between 0 and 9, it includes A through F.  So if you were to count up in hex you would count 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, C, D, E, F, 10, 11…19, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 1F, 20,  and so on.  00 is the least number and FF is the greatest.  So while #000000 is black, #FFFFFF is white.

Do not worry about trying to become an expert in hex.  For most people it just is not worth it.  Use a site like the one I provide above to figure out what color you want and plug it in.
