Finally, you can generate the content that is the reason you set up this website in the first place. This is actually the hardest part of creating your website as everything comes from YOU. Creating quality content takes creativity and determination and is hard, hard work.
This website was started eleven days ago. I have worked on it every night and over two weekends to get it to this point. Writing and editing, taking snapshots and cropping them, testing the instructions I wrote to insure that they worked. All for nine pages of content. You have to want to do this.
So where do you start and how do you stay motivated? Start with a topic that you are interested in, and start small. Rome was not built in a day and neither will your site be. Give yourself bite-sized goals and move steadily through them. Undertake this because you want to, not because of some outside influence.
In order to stay motivated, get the word out to your community as to what you have done. If you have friends who share your interest, invite them to participate. A community is more fun and alive than an individual. Go to other sites of people who share your interest and participate with what they are doing. Reciprocity is one of the great joys of the web.
Blogs come and go all the time. People start and lose interest, or other life issues take up too much time, or they decide that they enjoy the activity more than they enjoy writing about it. This is supposed to be fun, and do not forget it. Do not turn it into a chore by forcing yourself to post something on a daily basis. If your content is good, then people will wait for their next installment.
